Literacy Week

April 18, 2016
On the last day of Literacy Week, our school was transformed into a living library as characters such as Harry Potter, the Cat in the Hat, Little Red Riding Hood and Where’s Wally appeared to have leapt from the pages of their books. Pupils and staff clearly relished the opportunity to dress as their favourite literary characters, filling the day with a joyful energy.

Literacy Week concluded with a whole school assembly and a super celebration of poetry: each year group performed a range of poems written by their year group poet along with their own interpretations of well-loved favourites. Laughter, rhythm and lyrical rapping resounded around the hall as the fantastic week came to an end. Thank you parents for sending your children to school in wonderful costumes.
